Croton-On-Hudson, NY, July 9, 2010
A Letter to the Community:

The Croton-Harmon Education Foundation is seeking new board members for the 2010-2011 school year. Applications are available on the website at The application deadline is 7/23/10.

CHEF’s mission is to be a catalyst for innovation and experimentation in the Croton schools, to provide contributions of lasting value, to build a partnership with school and community, and to work for the whole child and every child.

In the last ten years–with the generous support of the Croton community–CHEF has awarded grants to the Croton-Harmon School District of more than $500,000 for a variety of initiatives, many of which give students unique educational experiences that go beyond the scope of traditional classroom learning.

For the 2010-2011 school year we welcome applications from all those in the community interested in serving on the board. We are especially seeking applicants with legal, marketing, and publicity backgrounds. For more information about CHEF or to fill out an application, visit the Foundation’s website at, and click on “getting involved.” If you have additional questions please feel free to call Debra Schor at 914-263-4857 or Lisa Cohen at 914-827-9805.
